of Wareham High School

The ATOM Scholarship and Awards Committees' main objective is to honor exemplary Certified and student Athletic Trainers in the state of Massachusetts, for their valued service and accomplishments. The committee helps recognize the extraordinary contributions to the profession by ATCs. We would also like to encourage student athletic trainers by offering 2 scholarships to assist them in their pursuit or their degree. The first annual scholarship was awarded at the state meeting in January 2001 and today we offer two $1,000.00 scholarships.

We are also trying to gain recognition at the national level, for Massachusetts ATCs by nominating worthy candidates for the NATA annual award. We cannot do this alone, we need your help! Please contact me with the names and contact information of worthy candidates. For more information on national awards, visit the NATA website. You can reach the committee chair, Kathleen Thornton (kpt1@comcast.net).
